Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s MUJAAMIL (GB) (Dansili {GB}) is a homebred son of the 2001 G1 1000 Guineas second Muwakleh (GB) (Machiavellian), and is one of a pair unveiled by local conditioner William Haggas. The other is Lael Stable homebred Curriculum (GB) (New Approach {Ire}), who is out of the MG1SP Superstar Leo (Ire) (College Chapel {GB}) and is thus a half-brother to the dual Group 3 winner Enticing (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}). Another notable contender is Jim Bolger’s Clear Cut (GB) (Acclamation {GB}), who is a twice-raced son of the 2011 G1 Irish 1000 Guineas fourth Claiomh Solais (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), coming back off a sixth in the G3 Autumn S. going one mile here earlier this month.

Jean-Michel Lebrun’s EQUINOXE (FR) (Equiano {Fr}), a Nicolas Clement trainee, is a half-brother to this year’s G1 Doomben Cup victor and last term’s G1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains third Pornichet (Fr) (Vespone {Ire}), and debuts against four here. They include Shadwell’s Raseed (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) and Susan Magnier colorbearer Le Juge (Ire) (Dansili {GB}), who are each out of a stakes winner; and the dual scorer Thewayyouwish (Thewayyouare), from the Jean-Claude Rouget stable.

EVERY CHANCE (IRE) (Frozen Power {Ire}) is a half-brother to the ill-fated Astaire (Ire) (Intense Focus), winner of the 2013 G1 Middle Park S. and third in this term’s G1 Diamond Jubilee S., and opens up in the silks of trainer Jamie Osborne. His rivals include stablemate and fellow firster Ice Royal (Ire) (Frozen Power {Ire}), who is out of a half-sister to the 1994 G1 National S. victor and 1995 G1 Irish Derby runner-up Definite Article (GB) (Indian Ridge {Ire}).
